The 13th Annual Summer Meltdown
Autism Awareness Art & Music Festival

 The annual event took place Saturday, April 30 at Central Park in Santa Clarita, CA. Summer Meltdown is produced by the“Yes I Can” Unity Through Music & Education Program. Bret Lieberman and his students developed the Summer Meltdown Festival in 2004 at Valencia High School to provide youth on the Autism spectrum an opportunity to be a part of the musical community, to develop occupational skills and find a place to connect with their peers. The event is produced by the students with and without disabilities working together under the guidance of the executive producer and founder Bret Lieberman. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit the Yes I Can non-profit organization. 

What started as a culminating school project, has morphed 13 years later into a professional music and art festival to be enjoyed by all ages. Attending the festival was a blessing. The atmosphere was genuinely positive, smiles abounded and a welcoming family vibe resonated throughout the day. 

Musical performances spanned across 3 stages

showcasing 30 bands;

Unified Highway: featuring Eric Rachmany of Rebelution w/ Amp Live,  Katchafire,  Zion I,  Wakrat,  Through the Roots,  Arise Roots,  Chali 2na,  Krooked Treez,  SYNRGY,  DJ Z-TRIP,  DJ Soulman,  OnTronik,  Stranger Band,  True Press,  J Ras,  Brewfish,  Black Salt Tone,  Ital Vibes,  R-Mean,  Roots Covenant,  Bad Neighborz,  Janelle Phillips,  Thicker Than Thieves,  B Foundation,  Native Elements,  Elmer Abapo,  Magic Bronson,  IrieFuse,  Between California & Summer,  and Johnny Love.

Featured live painters added to the spirit of the

festival and included such talents as;
