Hailing from Monrovia, California, True Press first combined their musical talents in 2006. Starting from rehearsing in an abandoned house with no electricity, True Press has been determined to spread their message through their inspiring reggae music. With recent additions to the band since then, True Press has now released their first full-length album titled, “Anything Is Possible”.
This album is wonderfully written, with a positive, uplifting energy. The whole disc promotes good vibes with their sweet musical melodies and the finely honed vocals of Pedro Gabriel. The title track,” Anything Is Possible” is definitely a favorite. Love is a major theme throughout the album, with plenty of tracks to choose from. “Won’t Let Go” tops my reggae love song list with its’ gentle and soothing verses. It should also be noted the collaborations that appear on this album. Features from E.N. Young and Joey “Hawaiintist” Muraoka offer fresh dub remixes for two of the tracks on this album: “Anything Is Possible” and “These Things”.
I would highly recommend this album. With their genuine, from-the-heart lyrics, True Press’ “Anything Is Possible” will leave you feeling elevated.
Catch True Press on the “It’s All a Jam” Tour supporting Fortunate Youth. This is their first national tour, so it is a must-see!
