And May 25th being my 21st birthday this year words could hardly sum up how epic itd be to see Damian Marley, the greem, pepper and 311! Regardless if I win ticlets this year im gonna continue to support cali roots any way I can keep up the good work!

I haven't been blessed yet to partake in the festival of reggae the line up is a great one according to all my reggae head friend they had gone last year and said it's something we all have to experience together unfortunately I wasn't able to make it last year I'm not going to lie I'm a little new and would like to get more involved into the reggae side of me that I know exist one of my buddies from home burned me a CD and just the when the first song bumped it had taken this weight off my chest due to a recent break up Counterfeit Love by Rebelution was the song that had done this for me it was more of a spiritual awaking that I felt and slowly but surely started to fall more into my reggae roots!

Rebelution along with Pepper Iration Cisco Alder SOJA JBoog Katchafire I haven't had the chance to watch them preform and bless me and my soul with the power of reggae something I really looking forward so I can find new love along with inner peace with this mellow level headed music

I would LOVE to see Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse, Damian Marley, and 311! Reggae music is my favorite, because I feel like it touches you in positive ways and can help people become more open minded. Bob Marley has definitely inspired me to be a better person through his music and actions. I support the lifestyle that Ziggy Marley lives and I think he is a great person. I hope to be able to jam with everyone and get the chance to see some of the other bands that I am not familiar with! Also, I am from Tennessee and I have never been to California....so this will be my first time!!! :)

I am chronically ill, and he steps up and not only takes care of me, but our house, our children, and his job! if anyone is deserving of a break, it's him. he's amazing, and this music has pulled us out of some very dark times.

So excited to see the lineup, festival, and movement regardless if I win tickets or not. I live in Chattanooga, TN so its always amazing to me to see these movement based music festivals that promote the lifestyle of positivity and collaboration. I'm most interested in seeing Ziggy Marley, Damian Marley,and 311. The Marley family has made such a massive contribution to mankind that I feel it only right to pay my respects and to jam out with their positive vibes. The family has been organic farming for years, they have lines of organic clothes, and also contribute to the organic farming community. What they have done to help the world is surreal. Not to mention Bob and his contributions that paved the way for his family to do the same. Needless to say.....both Marley's music is beautiful. 311 has been around for a while, but their sound is unparalleled. They have created their own style and team it up perfectly with lyrics that make you think and overwhelm you with positive emotions. Seeing this show and finally getting to experience a true Cali surf fest would help me to continue building my positive outlook on life. These bands have generated such a creative and positive movement in the world, I just hope to be apart of their amazing creation. Thanks for the chance and peace to you all!

If I got to have the opportunity to go to the California Roots Festival there are so many people I'd love to see perform like Rebelution, SOJA, Steel Pulse, Hirie, The Green, Ziggy and Damian Marley, 311, stick figure, Pepper and can't forget Beyond I Sight with Gonzo<3 plus so many more I'd love to fall in love with! sometimes seeing performers for the first time before getting to know their music is what makes you fall in love with them. For example when I seen Hirie, I had only heard the name, but once I seen a performance I fell in love with her voice and the music. I'd love to not only look forward to the bands I've cherished, but also listen and find new favorites, and another thing I cant forget to mention; is the good vibes I'd love to be around. Thanks for givin me a chance to win these tickets!

If i win these tickets, i would be so excited to see Jr Gong, Iration, Rebelution, B-Side Players, The Green AND SOJA! I have always attend evens with my parents so I'd actually love to win the tickets for them. My brother and I bought them some last year and they enjoyed it so much! My dad seen Don Carlos one of his favorite. This year Steel Pulse is another favorite of his. Unfortunately, we don't have the cash to get them tickets this year so this opportunity is awesome! First off I want to say that I think it's so awesome that there's actually a festival dedicated to reggae!! Everyone needs some good vibes in their life. There are so many bands that are going to be there it's hard to pick the one I'm most excited for. It's a split between rebelution and soja. Eric and Jacobs lyrics are so moving and powerful. A lot of people are in for mind blowing shows if they haven't seen them seeing soja live for the first time literally had me in tears. To have a band change your mentality on life and the way you look at the wolrd is a wonderful thing. People who want a change and want a better want a better world to live in should incorporate soja into their lives. They are all such talented and wonderful human beings. It would be so amazing to be able to go to this festival to be with all the reggae loving brothers and sisters. Thank you surfroots for giving us the opportunity to win this awesome prize!!!!
