Idk what it was from the sierra nevada, bomb ganja ,or just the good vibes felt all around, i can gladly say i had the experience of a lifetime... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*********theirs not one band/ artists that im NOT exited to see, ive been jammin to all these wonderful musicians for years upon years i couldnt imagine being able to experience seeing of my all fav reggae artists performing all in one weekend! I recently went to california for my first time last month and would absolutly love to travel their again!****!!!!

Three years ago I went to my first ever live show. It was the 2nd annual California roots. I took my mom for her birthday. We saw the expendables, iration and pepper in that order. It was such an amazing experience that I have never and will never forget. That day my mom and I decided that we would go to every california roots fest possible to see our favorite bands pepper iration and of course rebelution who's shirt I'm oddly wearing right now. Maybe its fate :)

Well who isn't there to see at the Cali Roots Festival?! This year is going to be ridiculously fun! But I can always say that SOJA steals the show! Have seen them twice, among many others on the list, and will see them a million times over. But, nonetheless, I am going and am very excited for the line up this year. I haven't seen Stick Figure before, so that should be enticing. Festivals in general are what this world needs. Bringing people together of all different varieties to love and enjoy each other. I am excited to see everyone at Cali Roots, but mostly I'm ecstatic to see stick figure and J-boog, as those 2 stole my heart a couple years ago and were amongst some of the many inspirations that influenced my move from CA to Hawaii. In fact, I played "Breathe" on repeat because it moved me to just go with the flow and to live this day happy.

I'm ultimately most excited for Stick Figure. This will be my 4th time seeing them live and I can't wait! His music is nothing but positive vibes and rad beats. It's helped me through some dark times. I'm also a huuuuge fan of The Expendables, the Marleys of course, 311, Rebelution, Iration, Katchafire, The Green, Iration, True Press, Passafire, Clear Conscience, Steel Pluse, and of course Albrosie! Safe to say I'm way beyond stoked for the line up this year and I'll be traveling from Portland again for this ultra amazing experience! I plan on making it every year no matter where I'm at. Reggae music is the passageway to the soul. Each song speaks to you helping you reach enlightenment.
There is nothing better then being with others who feel the same and all becoming one with the vibrations. Cali Roots is by far the best festival! Wish it was longer!

So kind of hard not to be excited about everyone but the one I am most excited for is Damian Marley by far! I have seen everyone else and have just missed Damian each time he's been around! Much love surf roots hopefully my wife, my 3 little boys and I will be there again this year!
