The Best In Reggae Rock
I was ecstatic when I found out that The Expendables were playing in my state! Not only do I love their music, but I loved it even better after seeing them live for the first time.
I had to leave work early, tell my friends that the movie theater can wait, and I jetted out of my house. The opening bands were great, I arrived as Pacific Dub started playing. One word - PUREAWESOMENESSBRILLIANTLYFUN (i make up my own words sometimes). As soon as the music started, all I wanted to do was dance. Pacific Dub earns an A+ in my music book. Afterwards, Fear Nuttin played and I instantly fell in love with the music.
What can I say about The Expendables set? I loved it. Geoff Weers's voice is like magic. Not one person walked away or sat down. Not a single song was a disappointment.. "Bowl for Two", "Positive Mind", "Down Down Down".. I would give overall two thumbs up, and if I was born with extra hands, then those thumbs would be up also!
I have been going to shows at The Stone Pony for years and this one particular night I felt overly joyous. All in all, the bands that played sounded perfect! It must have been the people and the music all in one. EVERYONE and I mean everyone, was dancing. The vibe was so real that the smile on my face didn't leave for a second. And I am damn sure that the bands felt the love from the crowd. If freezing moments in life was possible, it would be that night.
Now I must say my favorite part of my night was getting to talk with Pacific Dub. Not only were they respectful and sweet, but they were funny as funny can get. Many laughs were shared throughout the rest of the night. It was a high moment in life.
Overall, New Jersey will welcome these bands with open arms anytime!
