Music is such a powerful weapon in our world today that seeing all the bands preforming and how they get their messages across would be amazing. Tribal Seeds and Fortunate Youth are two of my favorites to see live, so i will be most excited about that. The vibes at their shows are unreal. I agree 100% with Jazmine Alvarez's comment below. Her and I have discovered so many talented musicians together and having a best friend who also loves and appreciates reggae the way I do has truely been a blessing. This music uplifts the soul, so being able to experience and support so many talented bands would be a weekend to remember. Regardless of winning these tickets or not, her and I will definitely be attending. Lake Elsinor is quite a ways away from us, so gas, food, and possible hotel room does add up. So tickets would be helpful. Lol But congrats to whoever wins and can't wait to meet new people and listen to some sweet reggae music. Much love and respect to surf roots and all the bands playing at the festival!
So stoked on this festival! I'm for sure most excited to see Fortunate Youth, Tribal Seeds, The Expanders, and E-40. Bay Area rap is something that I grew up with, so it's always been a dream for me to see a legend like E-40 perform live. The lineup is insane and I love how there's a great mixture of vibes coming from different genres of music, whether it's more roots, rock, reggae, or dub. I'm also very excited to check out some new up-and-coming bands on the reggae scene like Iya Terra and to give them some good vibes and support. They work so hard and I have the most respect for bands like them.
I'm most excited to see Tribal Seeds & Fortunate Youth. Two of the best Reggae bands out there right now! Other than Tribal Seeds & FY, the other Reggae bands on the lineup are awesome as well! From the minute I first heard Reggae, I fell in love. Reggae music has made a HUGE impact on my life and the person that I am. It has completely changed my mentality. It has opened my eyes, changed my perception of the world and other people, & has inspired me to keep a positive mind. Through Reggae music, I have also been able to meet some amazing, beautiful people. This includes the artists, they are some of the most humble/grateful people I've had the privilege of meeting. The way that I feel when I see how this music unites people and spreads such incredible messages and vibes is not even possible to explain. The feeling of being at a live Reggae show is like no other feeling. I feel so blessed to have been introduced to Reggae & to be able to go to shows. This music is one of the main things in my life that keeps me happy and keeps me going everyday. I could go on for days about my passion for Reggae lol but big thanks to everyone at Surf Roots for helping to spread this life changing music. Mad respect, sending good vibes your way!
